Ann Ewan's Wagon

Welcome to my wagon! Sorry about the mess. Let me move that pile of papers so you can sit down. Uh-oh, look at that. One of Sparrow's torches must have landed here while it was still burning. He juggles them, you know.

I now have a new website for my fantasy writing! Check out

When I'm not writing fiction books, I work as a technical writer for IBM. If you need any help or advice on technical writing, or if you're a contractor starting out, feel free to write to me with any questions. I love what I do and never mind talking about it. Over the years, I've worked as a contract technical writer for many other companies, including SCO, Unisys, and Cemcorp, to name some of the big ones.

My degree is in linguistics, and I also maintain Esmerel's wordlore pages, which involve games with words and how we understand language. For a more serious list of linguistics resources, check out the links from the University of Toronto's Linguistics Department.

Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children that dragons can be beaten.
